This seems rather interesting.
the concept is alright but it wouldn't work with the existing dualshock layout, each piece would need to be comfortable to hold with just one hand and still every bit as functional as the whole thing
Dude imagine pulling the halves apart and then going to town like the handholds on some giant robot
Is a simple controller so hard to ask for? We are entering the age of gimmicks.
Is a simple controller so hard to ask for? We are entering the age of gimmicks.
We already have simple controllers, sillyface. This is for those who want more than the simple controller.
I hope it looks nothing like that picture in the OP, I want my PS4 controller to have shoulder buttons, not shoulder balls.
Really doubt they'd make the PS4 controller be much different than the PS3 one.

This scares me because it reminds me of this:
Im not sure how this will work out.. if you've ever tried moving the analog on a ps3 controller with one hand holding the controller.. it feels pretty awkward.
If done right this could be pretty good.
Maybe it would work better if it looked like an N64 controller, so when you broke it apart down the middle, you still had grips on each side.
I'd also rather my normal PS3 controller doesn't have giant coloured ping pong balls on the back, that should be reserved for the Move controllers which I don't have or want.

Oh god that voice acting.
Is a simple controller so hard to ask for? We are entering the age of gimmicks.
yeah god forbid anyone try to create new things. i hate it when people look at unique designs for input devices as gimmicks. why is it that companies can't be allowed to try new things? even if they aren't terribly successful in practice it steers the designers in new directions and opens up more opportunities for game designers to make unique experiences. this is the only way we'll ever get anywhere and you're just slowing that down by bitching.
Hey this one does not look like a dildo
