First gaming build

Hi, Facepunchers. I'm building my first gaming PC and need thoughts on the setup.

I'll be using it for gaming and music production. Applications include:

- Team Fortress 2
- Call of Duty 4
- Battlefield: BC2
- Fallout: New Vegas (when it comes out of course)

- Ableton Live
- Renoise
- Reaktor
- Sony Vegas
- Adobe Flash, Photoshop

My budget is about [B]$1300[/B] but it [I]can[/I] be a bit elastic.

I probably will want a new mouse and keyboard, and possibly a new monitor down the road.

And I live in Winnipeg, Canada.

Where are you buying it from? For $1300 you can do a lot better.

This totals up to about $1055 ($1155 with i7, $1225 with i7 and 2TB space, and $1125 for i5 and 2TB of space.) You can use the rest to buy Windows 7 if you don't have it, or buy a new monitor.
