There's no way you could fit 1.32 million people inside a town that small though, I thought they patched out the inflated population numbers?
how do problems like this not show up during development? This is clearly broken, this is comparable to having a platformer that can be beaten without jumping.

The reply button seems to be broken but @zezibesh simcity 5 shows false, higher population count to make the city seem bigger. Their fault for using such fucking small cities anyways.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/cavQsgF.jpg[/t] Notice the difference between regional and city populations. Not really the same as just placing down a bunch of residential and going I WIN. He still controls the basic needs for the city, just buying the water and power and sewage and waste management from the other city i'm going to assume. The icons in the bar would all be red if not. [t]http://i.imgur.com/c8XbOgW.jpg[/t] Which they aren't. Only the zoning icon is in the red for obvious reasons. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline] If I were to go and just do one city that was entirely residential. No water, no power, no nothing, then it wouldn't work.
i'm sick of all of these sim city articles yes, videogame journalists, we know you can generate a bunch of traffic by reporting on a controversial issue, but it's over. find something else to rail about, like gawker-tier sexism
GG EA having a game where the city size is .5x.5 KM, basically the size of a few city blocks that can hold millions of people GG

That video was actually the one that originally brought this to light, so this is actually a couple of weeks late.
My brain tried to process this and it got stuck in an infinite loop.
I rationalized it as all of the jump points are slightly higher than the landing points so you could conceivably run off the platforms and fall onto the next one repeatedly because people are too retarded to play test their games.
Haha. That group of sky-scrapers in a perfect square in the middle of nowhere looks ridiculous.
Maxis really should've made it so that suburbs appear outside of the cities as the region's population grows.

Uuuuggghhhh. Okay, I haven't played this, nor have I played all that much of other SimCity games, but I'm not wrong in saying the past ones were, like, good, am I? I have heard so much bullshit from this game, with the DRM and offline capabilities and now this, I mean, what the fuck? What the fuck IS a game to these people anymore? SimCity was a fun city simulation, with mechanics that I'm pretty sure were at least somewhere between working and realistic. The fuck is this? This, along with every game being released as of late, is just a broken, rushed, piece of garbage. I mean did this shit ever happen so much in the past? Am I just not remembering something? Sure there were things like Sonic '06 but that was one game. Someone managed to break it simply by having a ton of residents. That's all they did. And that's not something they should be able to do in the first place. It doesn't say anywhere in the article that he hacked the game or anything. Just, jesus christ, I know I'm ranting but it's seriously getting absolutely retarded. Every single day, at least once a goddamn day, I see negative news relating to game, half of it being EA. No seriously, am I being stupid? Do I not know enough here, or what? I feel like I'm either missing something or getting more mad than I probably should, but it just keeps happening over and over. Game Developers are lazy as fuck all nowadays and it's just sad.
God those cities look insanely tiny.

It's the Matrix.
