Sorry about the size.
Cherry or Mahogany, but possibly maple... probably not maple.
Thanks :downs:
Depending on how old it is, it looks almost like Rubberwood. Popular "renewable" wood to use in furniture these days, and it bears that sort of grain pattern.
Why do you need to know the wood type anyways?

Cheery, like said above is the other big possibility. its hard to tell the natural color because of the finish.
Yep, that's wood.

I thought this was appropriate V:v:V
I wanna say birch or cherry.
its not mahogany, i think it could be maple
it's a stained spruce you goofs
it's a stained spruce you goofs
I agree with this, looks like spruce grain and the knots look spruce as well.
It cannot be cherry because it's too light, doesn't have the deep color to it, but not dark like walnut.
Same thing with mahogany, and the grain is all wrong.
Probably not maple, the knots don't look like maple.
Isnt mahognay darker then that`?
my guess would be spruce (thats just a wild guess taken from the blue so dont trust me on that one)
Mahogany. I am a lumberjack.

Its mahogany, the long stretched lines gave it away.
Also it got some coating on it making it clearer

Just.. no.
Its like pointing at a toyota tercel and saying that's a doge ramm, this is not spruce. This most likely is cherry given the color and grain pattern.
Though I guess it doesnt matter, the Op hasnt said anything about why he even needs to know the wood and I cant imagine why he'd really need to know.
