Currently got a computer for 540. Bringing it back because it sucks and probably getting this. I'm going to BestBuy to see the difference with the two, but I want to see your suggestions.

Give or take some parts. Over your budget but it'll get you going on most games.
Won't let you render 7 movies at once though.

And Athlon 64 is horrible compared to todays CPUs, not good. It's not something you should buy. The 240 out performs it for only $3 more. It has a more modern socket (AM2+) that they actually build parts for and it has twice as fast hyper transports along with twice as large caches, all for the same wattage.
