Uhh, is there anything more than cbr.com or news that point there as source? This sounds weird and couldn't find anything to back this up from UN or DC themselves. For one, I'd expect the "statement released by the UN" to be traceable, and as it stands I can't find such thing. I'm questioning this article.

The UN is a massive organization. Looking at it like one thing is like seeing how Flint Michigan's water crisis is being mismanaged and then screaming about how the government of Mobile Alabama is shit because of it.

They just should not spend time and resources on bs like this because their detractors use this to stop taking them serious... Just this thread is proof of that. One of my current partners works at the UN so im pretty well informed about some good work they do, but also the constant risk of falling in the same trap the league of nations did by trying to force relevance through uninforceable or just 'feel good' acts that do nothing but hit headlines and hearts... Like the league of nations did in its swan song.

Wonder Woman is in-universe an ambassador in some continuities. She's sent to the world of men(the US) as an ambassador and her armor has the pattern of the US flag as a sign of respect
