So, yesterday i updated all my apps on Cydia, which apparently wasn't a good idea. While restarting springboard, the ipod froze.
This has happened before so i just rebooted the ipod, but now it gets stuck on the apple logo.
I've tried disabling the watchdog so that it can rebuild the application map, but that didn't work either. Are there any other things to try, and else is there any way to do a restore, but with the 3.1.3 firmware?
What ios is it?
Put your device into DFU mode, and then try to restore it
I think i've got 3.1.3 (It's the one that shipped with 3G, right?)
Doesn't DFU force the ipod to update the firmware? Because i want to be able to jailbreak it again if i have to restore.
Hold both buttons until it turns off, turn it on and then wait for fucking ages.
Mine did the same.
If that doesn't work, download TinyUmbrella from http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/, plug in your iPod, click advanced, set the source to cydia and the version to ipod3g 3.1.3, then click save my shsh.
If it doesn't find it, you're screwed and will have to restore to 4.1

Put on dfu mode and restore via itune. Press and hold the home button and off button until it tells u to connect to itune to restore.
