• Second HDD destroys LAN and Vice Versa

I have two HDDs both IDE and at the same cable as I only have one place for a cable on my mobo. The mobo is a ASUS P5B-E. Main HDD is jumpered to Master and at the end of the cable, the other one is in the middle, jumpered to slave. Now whenever I start the PC I have one of the following problems: -Either the second HDD is not recognized at all(but very well in the BIOS and under the JMICRON controler) and the LAN-Adapter(integrated) works -OR the second HDD is recognized but the LAN Adapter is not, it's not even in the Hardware-Manager -OR Both work but the second HDD disapears from the HDD list and the hardware manager as soon as I try to access data on it. Whenever the LAN adapter is working, I have to disable ad reenable it to get it to connect to the router. I tried switching around, differend power-connectors, most recent drivers, nothing. The only thing is that I don't have the RAID driver for the Jmicron HDD controler installed as I am not using RAID, both HDD are IDE. Any suggestions?
