Among these was a clan of bandits called the “Scorchers”. Of the six bandit clans, the Scorchers was the only one that were cut from the final game, but information and screenshots of them are available through various resources and publications. id may have plans to put the Scorchers back in Rage, however. Recently, PEGI, the European videogame content rating system, put up a rating for Rage: The Scorchers with ZeniMax and Bethesda listed as European Publishers: Considering that the rating was filed as recently as a week ago, it rules out the possibility that PEGI simply rated the game before the Scorchers content was cut. Additionally, the rating is under a new name that specifically mentions the scorchers, so this is more likely to be a DLC add-on or expansion pack of some sort.
Who is actually going to buy this after the game was so god damn average.
Mod tools are coming out in the next couple of months so people will probably make the game 20x better.

The game weren't all that by the looks of it; even with an interesting crafting system and all sorts of technical gadgetry-stuff it just looked so dull and generic, and seemed to be pretty linear in places from what i've seen of it. Shooting down a brown corridor just ain't that appealing anymore, even if said corridor is "cleaned out" before going in, if you know what I mean. Yeah you know what I mean. *bradsherwood* Nonetheless, if they hand out mod tools, hopefully someone with too much spare time is gonna make something good out of the not-so-good experience of brown corridor shooting. Having some kinda "shielding" instead of just beep-boop-boring regenerating health would also have been a good move.
Who is actually going to buy this after the game was so god damn average.
I am :).
I uninstalled the game after a day of trying to play it. Does it still take 4 seconds to render stuff into when you turn around?
I liked Rage, but I'm not entirely sure if it's something I'd play through again just for one piece of DLC. If there is a sequel, I hope it's more improved. Make it more of a wide-open sandbox (rather than just making it look like one), give better character customization (I can choose between three outfits that do jack shit! And if I get the "slightly more special edition", I could get a fourth one that's slightly better!), and make the weapons better (I don't like the idea of spending half a clip trying to down an enemy that doesn't even have armor on).

this reminds me, I bought rage on my old comp which couldn't handle it and I recently got a new one. Time to install and play. Thanks facepunch. I enjoy RAGE. It's just I wish that it were a bit more... open. I like to explore and many of the areas feel pretty linear.
I enjoyed the environmental art of Rage along with the general design aspect, sure some areas of it were a letdown but it was a decent and quite pretty game to prove their engine which I hope to see many more promising games from.
Game was fun and I really liked it. I just wish it was less linear and less ugly.
My biggest concern was the fact that in the opening level I was stunned and I really thought the game would model a realistic damage system, because the enemies were weak, reacted appropriately to being shot (shooting their legs impaired their movement) and died quickly. In the very next level, I was proven wrong because I came up against enemies that I pumped full of bullets and watched as they didn't flinch. A trend that only got worse throughout the game, especially when the Authority shows up. The beautiful enviroment topped that opening level off for me, but past that the game dissapointed on every level.
I liked the faces in RAGE. The animations where good too. It was the first game I played that the faces looked semi-realistic.
I didn't bother to buy games like Rage or DNF at all because I knew they would turn out to be a disappointment. Didn't even have to try the games to realize it. It's almost like a 6th sense..
Rage was so fun, I loved it. It was by far one of the best linear shooters I've played in quite some time. The environments and characters looked incredible, and yeah there were some really bad low-resolution textures, but overall, it looked amazing. I think they just marketed it wrong. Most people thought it was going to be a big, open-world thing, but in fact it was just a few small hubs and very linear with little to no exploration. I hope they do a second one, but make it a hell of a lot larger and more open. Then it could be a truly spectacular game.

You had the main story which was fairly short, a very small and lackluster coop mode, and the competitive multiplayer was just kind of tacked on and nobody played it. Makes it seem even more silly if they're actually going to charge people for more content.
One major thing that really annoyed me was the bonus missions. All they did was make you go back through the level backwards.
