Getting an MP4 to work for Ipod. - Hardware & Software

I have a bunch of large MP4 files that i need on my iPod. What is the best program for putting them in ipod format? I've tried many but they'd turn out not to have sound or sound would be horribly out of sync with the video.

I much rather ask a more trusted source a quote "dumb question" then get screwed by shareware.

I've used iwisoft media converter for a while now. It's free, suits my purposes. Fast enough, clean UI.

Use Handbrake its free and decent.

Uh, I usually convert my files to MP4 before syncing them over to my iPhone, I don't get why it isn't working for you. A software named "FormatFactory" can help you out tho, use it to convert your video files to whatever supported format (i usually go with mp4 but seeing as it doesn't work for you), and you also might want to change the resolution on em, since a resolution over 480 wide would be a waste of space.

So many different recommendations, google would work quite as well... And, seriously, I'm using XViD4PSP for a long time, never had problems with it. It's actually really easy to use and doesn't fuck the video up...
