Police said he got into an argument, pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds into the ground.Viatafa was forced out of the area, police said, but not before he fired more rounds. No one was hit, but investigators sought him for allegedly discharging a firearm toward an inhabited dwelling. Viatafa told police he had looked himself up online and found his mug on the “Northern California Most Wanted” website, maintained by the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center, a group of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. “That is why he turned himself in,” police said. By Friday, Viatafa was listed on the website as a “captured fugitive.”
Man, remind me never to fucking google myself when I'm bored at work.
I was looking on that site of wanted fugitives. Apparently one wanted fugitive is 88 years old, and he's wanted for escaping Alcatraz in '62. You'd think they'd just give up after a while.
Well it's good he turned himself in. He didn't even kill anyone but could've by the sound of it. Hope he doesn't get too ridiculous of a sentence even though firing blindly everywhere over and argument is pretty dumb.

Did he get a reward?

Oh my, I never knew he would find out while googling himself! I google myself all the time! Usually after a long day of work, when my girlfriend is out of town, when I'm in the mood. Who would of thought he'd learned he was a criminal after that?
I always found it funny that people find out they're wanted for something only after being informed during a traffic stop or seeing it on TV or the internet. It's weird, do the police make any attempt whatsoever to contact these people?
Turning himself in is the smart thing, probably something his lawyer can use in his case. He's not completely psychotic, and understands what he did is against the law/deserving of a sentence etc. [editline]15th March 2014[/editline]
I always found it funny that people find out they're wanted for something only after being informed during a traffic stop or seeing it on TV or the internet.
im a rockstar that's toured with whitesnake
I found a Huffington Post article about a picture of 'Me' and calling it the male counterpart to the stupid overly attached girlfriend picture. Uhhhhhhh. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/09/patrick-gill-overly-attached-boyfriend-girlfriend-photo_n_1659806.html No seriously, what the hell.

Oh wow, I did not know this, but I share most of the name of the soldier in this picture. His name is James Blake Miller, I'm Blake Miller. Interesting.

Wait Alcatraz is in San Francisco? I never would have guessed.I guess it would be easier to escape from there than from some far flung island like the easter islands.
