As much as I would love to see Platinum Games make a Darksiders game it would probably be better off with the team that started it in the first place.

[editline]28th March 2013[/editline] Although Pestilence would have been kinda cool
You know, you could have some pretty cool abilities as famine, imagine being able to starve someone of their life and just sap it until they're nothing but emaciated husks of their former selves. Besides they redone the horsemen for Darksiders, there's War, Death, Fury and Strife. Strife is a banging motherfucking, kneecaps bitches all day and doesn't give a fuck.
Did you really want to play as Famine? What are you gonna do, Starve them to death?
Dude, Famine would theoretically have power over all the causes, effects, connotations, and symptoms of starvation. Make him a gangly, exaggerated caricature of a human in the last stages of starvation. Then give him huge hands (so that he can grab all that he can see), a huge mouth with several layers of differing tooth types (so that he can consume all that he can grab) and set him loose as a scrapper-brawler who offsets his fragile nature with unrivaled range and gruesomely effective grapple attacks. Let his presence cause weaker-minded minions to degenerate into Wendigo psychosis. Let him summon, command and weaponize swarms of locusts. Hell; tag in Pestilence and combine abilities with him to inflict foes with advanced forms of The Consumption, or call in a favor with Death for an ability to convert the fallen into loyal ghouls.
i forgot i have darksiders in my steam account time to try it out
i forgot i have darksiders in my steam account time to try it out
It's pretty fun man, I honestly thought it was one of the best games around at the time, Darksiders 2 not so much but that was because of one specific terrible sequence in the game.
Well Darksiders is probably gonna get a third. But wait... CryTek has a partnership with EA. Uh oh. But on the bright side it also has partnerships with Ubisoft, so if they do have to spill blood to fund Darksiders 3, they'd be better off spilling blood with Ubi than with EA. Also, one thing that Darksiders could probably do well with; Four Horsemen Co-op. Being able to explore a wide open world with 4 friends would be pretty cool, so long as there's still a singleplayer option for those who don't want to have to partner up with others.
Cryengine darksiders?

Their other games coming out will not be published by EA.

I misread it as Darkstalkers. That was almost very confusing.
Good news, from the way I understand it a large number of the devs from Vigil ended up at a Crytek studio, so they'll be able to finish the IP they created. Though I honestly don't have any clue what they could possibly do with Strife and Fury, that comic that came with the PC version of Darksiders 1 singled out War and Death as the powerful and interesting ones, and the other two as almost filler characters.
