A cat, unlike a human, doesn't understand the concept of a gun and doesn't care you are pointing it at it. If it was a toy gun so he could be certain it can't harm the cat, then there's literally nothing wrong with it.

Someone on Facebook said the man was "holding the cat aggressively." Surely that's not the case though because cats are used to being held by the back of their necks as kittens.
You really should not be pointing a gun at anything you don't want to shoot, especially with your finger on the trigger. If it's fake/airsoft that'd be a different story. It'd still be shit to accidentally cap your cat with an airsoft gun.

One is suicide, the other is murder. Even if it's an animal, it's putting something else into danger against their will, which is a lot different than saying you'll kill yourself just to get attention.
