Wow, you can light stuff on fire. "Fish moving away from you" has nothing on this technological advancement.

It's the exact medium of everything bad.
That is a really fucking stupid name
it's supposed to be a parody of H1N1 (swine flu) unfortunately, swine flu is totally irrelevant now
it's supposed to be a parody of H1N1 (swine flu) unfortunately, swine flu is totally irrelevant now
i understand the name but i still think it's a shitty one
it's supposed to be a parody of H1N1 (swine flu) unfortunately, swine flu is totally irrelevant now
To elaborate on this a bit more, Swine Flu was just a nickname given to an outbreaking influenza strain. Although it did have swine origin (which is where the nickname comes from), it should be considered merely as another strain of influenza like any other, as the origin of many diseases are zoonotic. I would compare it to how people would give nicknames to hurricanes such as the hurricane Katrina from 2005. The actual strain (Influenza A) has been around for a long time. It has been seen in many of the recent pandemics within the past 100 years such as the 1918 'Spanish' Flu Pandemic, the 1968 'Hong Kong' flu, and the more commonly known 2009 'Swine' Flu. The 2009 Swine Flu was an assortment of many different influenza types: Influenza C, and many subtypes of Influenza A (H1N1, H1N2, H2N1, H3N1, H3N2, and H2N3). ----- The nomenclature of H1N1 is a combination of two different subtype identifiers: HA and NA. To summarize: HA (Hemagglutinin) is a glycoprotein found on the surface of influenza viruses. It is used to bind the virus to the target cells. The name 'Hemagglutinin' comes from the protein's ability to cause red blood cells to clump together. NA (Viral Neuraminidase) allows the virus to be released from the host cell. It cleaves a gateway in the membrane of the infected host cell which allows the replicated virus to escape and spread to other nearby cells. This is effectively what allows the virus to spread. Although there isn't much in terms of a cure to a virus (as it can mutate very quickly), it is possible to stop the spread of the disease between cells. With the presence of a Neurominidase-Inhibitor, it will prevent the virus from escaping from the infected host cell, therefore preventing it from spreading to the other cells. ----- This means, to directly interpret the name H1Z1, it is a virus that binds to a cell, and uses an unidentifiable way of spreading the viruses to other cells. Being that one of the common identifiers of infection is from zombie bites, I would assume it would function much like osmosis and infiltrate into adjacent cells from the original bite. Unfortunately for the virus, this process would likely be very slow to propagate across the body, and would therefore be easily dealt with via amputation. Although on the other hand, if it could find a way to infect a red blood cell, then it would be given a free ride across the entirety of the body, which could allow it to spread very far, in a very short amount of time.

Don't know about you guys but I don't think we have much to compare this with, not many other well established and well executed similar games. SEO are a fuck massive company and I think they could pull this off. If they had nothing to show then they'd be over-hyping it, making sound far to good to be true. Instead the guy is getting giddy about being able to start fires willy nilly, and that probably represents their attitudes toward the gameplay. Not-to-mention it's playable soon and their already array of existing capable games.
enough with the zombie games, please.
Enough with the FPS games please. enough with the JRPG games please. Enough with the WRPG games please.
INNOVATE. INNOVATE! INNOVATE!!!
enough with the zombie games, please.
I disagree, most zombie games on the market are poorly developed. I'd like at least one decent zombie MMO before the fad dies.
Zombie is a theme, not an entire genre of games. The zombie theme has been done to death. It's so fucking overused.
The list of good zombie focused games (not games that just have zombies in them, like Half-Life 2 or Fallout) that I can think of is pretty tiny and has a decent amount of genre variation. The Last of Us State of Decay Left 4 Dead Telltale's The Walking Dead Dead Rising Dead Island Stubbs Killing Floor Project Zomboid I can't disagree that there's a shitload of zombie themed games out there, but I think for the people who actually like zombie stuff there isn't much satisfaction to be had there yet. As such, I don't think more zombie games being developed will really have that much of an effect on people who didn't care much about the theme anyways. [editline]April 9[/editline] Also H1Z1 isn't that bad of a name on paper, but unless they wanted people to call this game "Hizzy" they should've thought of something easier to pronounce.
