Tactical Durr Face Simulator
Need a new computer soon, if the HD8000 series is out by then I'll be tempted..
This is actually pretty great
As I've been looking to upgrade my GPU for a while now AND I'm not entirely sure I want to pay full price for BF4, this may be good for me.
Might grab one of those cards then if i build a new rig then
I think this will be the only reason that I pick up BF4.
Awesome, hopefully I'll have enough money for one of the 8xxx series cards and I won't have to actually buy BF4!
So wait
Will bf4 cost $500 or something for the gpu+game
I just want the game :(
Edit: Re-read it, I feel stupid now.
This only makes me want an AMD card less.
Hows about make some drivers that work AMD. My 6870 keeps dying every time you push out an update. How you guys manage to make something break worse than the previous update is beyond me.

There is nothing wrong with their drivers and there hasn't been for ages.

The last time I updated CCC + the video drivers I couldn't play any games because they couldn't understand what my GPU was, so I had to revert to Window's basic VGA drivers to play games and use my computer. I also have a multi monitor set up, and they had a goddamn seizure after the update.
It's like the 90s when you got a free game with graphics cards.

Free bench mark tool.

How would you be benchmarking anything? BF3 and BF4 (most likely) would be easy to run. BF3 can effortlessly run on tons of computers.

This has still been happening for years. It's just usually restricted to high end GPUs to entice buyers more.

It requires a bit of oomph to run on Ultra without any hiccups, y'know, the kind of thing benching tests for?
Cool, might pick up a new no-drivers card by the time this game comes out. My 6770 really needs to get fucked and replaced.
What EA said: "If you do this promotion, we won't force you to play our game"

Just because it's easy to run doesn't mean it can't be used as a benchmark.
I am kind of looking towards the future where I am going to buy an entire new system and teach myself how to build it. But I am not sure what is better, Nvidia or AMD. I have an AMD right now and I really don't like it, it has had so many compatibility issues with Unreal engine 3 games and such. But everybody tells me AMD is going to beat Nvidia in the future but I don't know shit about cards and whats going on in their industry. Still leaning towards Nvidia.

It really depends on your budget. Like, from what I have experienced, a lower-end AMD card might be better than a low-end Nvidia card.
Ask dudes here on FP, look at comparison videos, find out what your budget is... Don't stick to brand loyalty, though. That's the dumbest thing you can do when buying hardware. If it works, it works. Red or green don't matter.
This is actually a really good marketing strategy, not only beneficial to AMD but it's fair to expect that the majority will buy BF4 Premium. If not then it's still a "free" game and EA will be seen less evil.
I really wonder how they can include AAA games while keeping the prices low.

By keeping the price without the game high.
It's like the 90s when you got a free game with graphics cards.
What? Its standard practice.
I got Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite with my new AMD card.
I remember when ATI bundled optimized games like MechWarrior 2 with their cards.
As much as I would love to get Battlefield 4 with a new graphics card, I'm going to have to miss out, as from my experience, AMD cards just don't do it for me, and with the issues I have had with them, I have been driven away from buying another one.
