I wonder why investigators feel the need to keep this information to themselves and wonder if this information is really important to the case overall.

In my opinion; What is worse?

Releasing documents and recordings from the event, or having a bunch of people believe there is an inside job and that the affected families are liars and never lost their children?

Worst case, we find out our Government is totally corrupt and everyone those nutjobs speculated was true. Or that it was just a murderous tragedy, and then it [i]Fades away[/i] from the spotlight and we can all move on. (if not already it appears)

Remember when the Boston bombing photos got plastered all over the Internet? And the conspiracy nutters came out of the woodwork to not only call it all fake, but to accuse the victims of being carefully placed actors? And then the photos were used as political footballs so that everyone could try to push this or that through legislature?

If I'd lost a friend or family member in the shooting I sure wouldn't want to go through all that.
