Does this newsbot open Skyrim Beta webpage over and over for anyone else?

Yup, Bethesda are one of our advertisers. If you click on the outside of the article text then you are automatically linked to the Elder Scrolls MMO beta sign up.
Sorry about that.

Apparently I'm constantly clicking on the outside of your articles, as I'm constantly taken to the Elder Scrolls sign up page.. Dunno why I do it though.

May I mention that not having the cursor change to a hand and not displaying any images there makes it a bit obnoxious
And by a bit I mean a lot. I hope they aren't paying you per click.
I dont have any of the said issues above.
Additionally, completely overriding the cursor so all clicks will count as a left click is a mega asshole move.
Dont have that issue either.
What are you people running

They are running some rather dirty and hacky adsense code to check mouse clicks on the body element, however in firefox it sees any click in the body area as a left click, so if you right click on the left side, it would see it as you left clicked on the element thus opening the sign up page.
It's very amature if you ask me, they shouldn't be doing it this way. A better way would to have it as an underlying div so you can then apply the adsense element inside it, less hackery via javascript and less crossbrowser problems.
Jbenson, please pass this note onto the thisismodular guys, considering they are "professional" web designers they should know better than this.
On chrome, there isn't anything to even click on the left or right side of the article. :v:

I lied, when I clicked on the blank space it opened up the beta sign up, but I wouldn't have clicked had I not known about it.

You've got adblock enabled so that's why you don't see it. :v:
Dirtbikes don't really sound like the thing you think about when you think "battlefield" or "FPS game"
[QUOTE=latin_geek;39532646]Dirtbikes don't really sound like the thing you think about when you think "battlefield" or "FPS game"[/QUOTE]No, but it makes a lot of sense in battlefield.
It's fast, can carry passengers and you can plant C4 on it.
[editline]10th February 2013[/editline]
Mostly the latter.
[editline]10th February 2013[/editline]
I'm gonna go ahead and declare anything not C4 plantable unfit for duty.
They look kinda out of place and silly to me in the game, and seeing people fly off huge ramps and hit the ground running perfectly fine is completely unrealistic, especially in "realistic fps"
Not sure if I'm prepared for jihad-bikes, I've got a bad feeling about this. But at the same time, it'll make for a quick getaway if I'm getting shot at by tanks.

Have you played Battlefield 3?

If you are playing battlefield 3 for a "realistic fps" then you are playing the wrong game.
Bullet wounds are magically healed by a defibrillator. Tanks take a bunch of hits to explode and are magically completely healed by just a blow torch. All vehicles will heal themselves over time unless severely damaged. Humans magically heal from bullet holes after a short time.
I think I can deal with dirt bikes taking jumps.

To be fair I really haven't played it all that much, I admit my opinion is somewhat uninformed, but I guess what I meant by "realistic" is that it's not overtly unrealistic. The graphics and gameplay emulate reality for the most part, even if it does have regenerating health and other things of that nature.
At the same time, it's a video game, who gives a fuck. They do look fun, don't get me wrong.
Can you use them to do the glitch where you run the vehicle up against something immovable and get the wheels to accelerate indefinitely? I'd play entire matches just grabbing ATVs and shooting across the map at 100mph

They've fixed that glitch, sadly.

Yeah, I've got no issues with this page. I don't have adblock either. Well, I do have Avast and the Avast extension, so maybe.
