How long until the British plant a warship in the waters between Gibraltar and Spain?

If I was in charge of the British navy, I'd have fun with it, send an old ship of the line there. HMS Victory sailing off the coast of Gibraltar to bring up old memories. Set up a big projection screen on Gibraltar and have a giant image of Lord Nelson up.
I give it a week before the Spanish try something again, and then we send down a warship and just plant it in the waters, hopefully with "Come ahead prick!" painted on the side.
Time for the Royal Navy to bring out the LRADs.
Being an Expat living in the Canary Islands... I am disturbed by this news. The Guardia better not start shit with Britain. I'd end up having to leave :(
Why on Earth would they do this
A few months ago a British Naval ship passed through Spanish waters and Spain said it was technically an act of war and they could retaliate if they wanted. So now they're doing this to piss us off.

Well, Gibraltar was ours before being Brittish
also, this is no falklands, nor it will escalate into a falklands, don't be silly. Nothing serious or major is going to derive from this, this is simply moronic.
My guess is Spanish policemen first thought the guy on the jetski was involved in some drug trafficking or whatever dumb reason and opened fire. This really is pretty fucking stupid on a first note.
Brits freak out massively and our useless Spanish chiefs act like nothing has happened.
Now a police boat sailed into Gibraltar waters for how much time and for what? The article doesn't especify anything, it just talks about the jetski incident and what's happened after that. Admitedly I've skimmed fast through most of the article, but nothing really has happened so this is blowing this out of proportions again.
This is just incompetence going really wrong and being blown out of proportion. I'd also honestly expect the Gibraltar security and the Spanish police to work together more. This feels like it could've been avoided in the first place. If at all, the cops who opened fire on the jetski guy should certainly take responsibility for this.

You where the ones that gave it to us in the treaty of Utrecht, just sayin' :eng101:

Yup, from a Spanish Seccession war. still hurts man :(
The thing is, the British waters the treaty of utrecht recognises are only the port waters whereas britain claims 3 nautical miles. Spain doesn't recognises those 3 nautical miles, and fishermen try to sneak in although they end up being escorted back to Spanish waters by Spanish policemen
this is probably a massive non-issue. it's being reported by the mail, so it's probably an article aimed largely at aging imperialists who - at the very thought of a war with spain - start crying nostalgically and masturbating through the lining of their pockets.

Oi! Spaniards! No!
England used to own a lot of the world. I think they've given enough back by now. Let it go, Spain

Very rarely do the British actually mean this stuff. We're just having a bit of fun at the expense of our Spanish compatriots.
Not that they'd understand our humour, bunch of bull-slaughtering silly-hat-wearing flammable-ship-building twats as they are.

It's why we mock the french so much, since they're the only bastards on the planet who have given us repeated, long, decent fights (that we always win)
Well England has a huge advantage over most nations. Theyre on an island and a lot of it is straight cliffs as a shore
