Charlie Jade is a Canadian-South African sci-fi series that premiered in 2005/2006 for one season before it's cancellation. The writers had planned on a second season, but the show was canceled before that. So lots of concepts were never hammered out to their full extent. Although I feel as if nothing was lost, but made the show a tad more metaphysical. The premise on which the show is based is three parallel universes, Alphaverse, Betaverse and Gammaverse. Alphaverse is a futuristic dystopian world rampant with corporate corruption and pollution. Green being a primary colour of this world. Betaverse is basically our world, but much bluer in tone. Gammaverse, is all that is not Alphaverse. Where Alphaverse has runaway ecosystem collapse, Betaverse has thriving ecosystems. In the Gammaverse, anything that endangers the environment is a crime. As opposed to Alphaverse, where they don't care at all. Primary colour scheme of this world is warm earthy tones. The titular character Charlie Jade is presented as the protagonist of the series, with help from inhabitants of the various universes. The primary antagonist is a company called Vexcor based out of Cape City (Cape Town in Beta/Gammaverse), Alphaverse. While Vexcor does exist in the other universes, it is at a considerably reduced fraction of what it is in Alpha. Another person of note is "01 Boxer" heir to the Vexcor throne as it were (his parents run it). It is kind of explained during the first season how he travels between the universes, but not really. Of note is an apparent split personality syndrome that he exhibits when in each universe. In Alpha, he is a psychopath. in Beta, he is just weird. And in Gamma he appears to be a loving father. But where ever he is, you can guarantee that he shit is about to hit the fan. First 5:09 of the pilot episode.
