I need to bring a song in to class that has allusions to mythology... Can anyone help me, and if possible, i want it to be as bad or annoying of a song as possible.
Call of the Cthulhu?
Calypso - Suzanne Vega. Though it's actually really pretty. Also, some Sting songs reference it, but only in a line or two.

Nile's songs are based on Egyptian mythology (and H.P. Lovecraft). May I recommend "The Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve its Possessor From Attacks From He Who Is In the Water?"
ooops... i forgot to mention greek mythology... sorry
Yeah, what I mentioned is about Greek mythology.
Yeah, what I mentioned is about Greek mythology.
i saw it, but cant find a non-live version of it, and my teacher is probably going to play it using a video of it from youtube(lol)
The only ones I can think of from the top of my head are: Dreamtale - Wings of Icaros ← I like this very much. Burning in Hell - Medusa Kiss - God of Thunder All of these are rock/metal.

[editline]7th November 2010[/editline] I can't really say the music is bad, although I don't think I liked some of the songs. Been a long while since I took a listen.

So much power metal would apply if it didn't HAVE to be Greek. So I'm going to go with The Oddysey by Symphony X. Specifically, the 20-minute epic title track.
