Every game is required to have a battlegrounds mode now I guess.

ESO is a special case because you have 4v4v4 battlegrounds, while most MMOs have the standard XvX battlegrounds (ESO has 3 factions facing each other at the same time while most MMOs have 2 factions only).
PvP focused MMOs are one of the worst
At least in ESO queue times for dungeons are insanely high because people prefer doing the alliance war or going to Cyrodiil to kill. That's what I think is happening. Or maybe it doesn't have enough players and most of them are high level so being a newbie is hard.
what? PvE is the biggest part of most MMOs and is exactly what most people play them for, pretty much all MMO PvP is complete garbage, you'd have to be insane to play an MMO just for its PvP.
Yeah, I last played dedicated PvP in an MMO in 2006/2007 in WoW. And I hated it then. Other than that its been incidental stuff in games that have it as an open world and I just basically happened to be a part of it, like helping people with shipments in Archeage, or Neocron 2 (the like 50 of us that even played that game.)
