While both of these examples or discriminatory, and shouldn't be accepted in any way; driving badly isn't an asian trait, whereas attraction to men [I]is [/I]a homosexual trait.

Specific sexual acts and the use of certain types of contraceptives are not homosexual traits either. You could truthfully give either a yes or no answer to any of the questions quoted in the article and still be a homsoexual.
Maybe the employee was gay/bi or just sexually secure and he was saying it in a sarcastically sexual way just to joke around with the other guy, and they were both having a laugh, and it just sounds [I]completely[/I] out of context on paper.

I think the point is that being accused of being a homosexual and being a homosexual is in effect the same thing when it comes to being at risk. Just as it's hard to prove you are gay it's also hard to prove that you are not gay to those who would make it necessary for you to seek asylum. You should only have to prove that you are in danger because of allegations of homosexuality even if you yourself are not actually a homosexual.

"Seeking asylum" is to attempt to gain access to and the protection of another country due to your native country having circumstances which would lead to the individual being persecuted or otherwise unsafe.
