It’s been a while since new games of Dead Rising and Devil May Cry debuted on the market, however it seems like Capcom’s development schedule includes games for both franchises. That’s according to the [URL="http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_14448269510399&key=de2ccb8ca8943c06669720e0a267a9f6&libId=ifqseaik0100ag8y000DAed0mn3zn&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.neogaf.com%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D1124001&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.capcom.co.jp%2Fir%2Fenglish%2Fdata%2Fpdf%2Fannual%2F2015%2Fannual_2015_01.pdf&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.neogaf.com%2Fforum%2Fforumdisplay.php%3Ff%3D2%26order%3Ddesc%26page%3D2&title=Capcom's Main Pipeline Series 2016-2017 (RE%2C MonHun%2C DMC%2C DR%2C SF) - NeoGAF&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.capcom.co.jp%2Fir%2Fenglish%2Fd...al_2015_01.pdf"]latest integrated report published yesterday by Capcom.
Source: http://wccftech.com/dead-rising-devil-cry-titles-capcoms-main-pipeline/ Let's see if we get more Donte or the return of Dante.
I almost want more donte just for the shitstorms.
Just give us DMC5 please.
if they make a decent dmc sequel to ride off the hook at the end of the expansion that's just a revisiting of DMC2, i'd be happy. DMC was a cool game, just characters were dick
I hope if they do make a true DMC5 that it's difficulty matches the rest of the series. dmc was much easier, felt cheap.
I hope if they do make a true DMC5 that it's difficulty matches the rest of the series. dmc was much easier, felt cheap.
It felt like a western game, not in a good way.
I'd like a Dead Rising more in the spirit of 2/OTR 3 was fun and all but it wasn't quite it
Monster Hunter Online hype
Looks like dead rising is now seen as more important than megman
I'd like a Dead Rising more in the spirit of 2/OTR 3 was fun and all but it wasn't quite it
What about a Dead Rising 3: Off The Record?
What about a Dead Rising 3: Off The Record?
They already made one except it's got that super ultra joke name
They already made one except it's got that super ultra joke name
That's just like a challenge level collection though, it has nothing to do or is anything like OTR.
I hope the next game features the old Dante we know and love. That would likely warrant a purchase then and there.
I'd like a Dead Rising more in the spirit of 2/OTR 3 was fun and all but it wasn't quite it
I want a DR1 port first. Perhaps DR1: Off the Record with improved controls but that's about it.
TBH after DMC4 and it's special edition I don't know if Capcom can be trusted to make another DMC game. As good as some parts of DMC4 were they forced you to play a character nobody knew or liked for most of the game, then you briefly got to play a much more rounded and interesting character in terms of their moveset and weapons but only while backtracking through levels. On top of that, the board game levels were a bit retarded and in the special edition as much of an improvement as it was they made you do that same thing with lady and trish as they did with nero and dante. I still want to see if they can convince platinum games to do one, they'd probably do a top tier job.
What about a Dead Rising 3: Off The Record?
I think the biggest flaw with DR3 was its setting. Going around a full stocked shopping mall and doing whatever you like always was a fun fantasy, and kind of a trademark of the series. It just has lots of room for creativity and content.
As good as some parts of DMC4 were they forced you to play a character nobody knew or liked for most of the game
In a way Nero was sort of an improvement. The devil bringer added a lot to gameplay and made continuing combos easier because you could easily bring enemies to you. I didn't mind backtracking as Dante at all either (only parts I hated were the level with the fault traps and the board game areas). Unfortunately I don't see Capcom hiring Platinum to continue the series.
As good as some parts of DMC4 were they forced you to play a character nobody knew or liked for most of the game
DMC4 also got the bitch end of the stick because Capcom cut dev time by like half. It's amazing that 4 is as good as it is. Plus the MT Engine is Japanese black magic.
...I like Donte as a character. I actually think he's pretty funny.

Nero's hand cannot possibly make up for the massive vacuum of moves and weapons he's lacking compared to Dante. Whether or not you minded it, the backtracking was also still shit. I mean I had some fun playing it, it wasn't /bad/, it was just nowhere near as good as 3 and they could have done so much better

The basic gameplay (as Dante) in 4 was much, much better than 3. Style Switching was such a huge improvement I can barely stand going back to play 3 again afterwards. I just wish everything else than the gameplay was a lot better, which is why i was doubly disappointed by DMC: DMC. I really wanted to see a proper sequel to DMC4 that took that gameplay, improved on it even more, and added a buttload of content to boot. Could've been amazing so in other words DMC5 pls capcom
But where do I get the edge
" FUUCK YOOOUU !!!!!!!!! "( refrence to the add you saw in DMC) or how ever that gross boss fight said it
Im fine with a DmC: Devil May Cry sequel with Donte. As long as its all in spanish. And he has a moustache. With the same guy who voiced him in the spanish version of DmC.
I'm in the minority that actually wants a sequel to DmC. I thought the story was taking an interesting turn at the end of Vergil's Downfall. I think it'd be nice if the DMC series coexisted, like you got DmC 2 by Ninja Theory and DMC5 by Capcom.
I mean I'm not done with it either really.
I just finished Virgil's campaign in DMC4SE tonight. I don't know if Capcom has it in them to make a decent DMC5. The higher-ups who call the shots simply won't allow anything more than the bare minimum on games that don't make them gazillions of dollars. If we get a DMC5, I can't see it being better than 4. Although, maybe I would be okay with that. 4's gameplay was great save for the lack of variety in enemy types and the boring bosses.
But where do I get the edge
what edge?
Fuck off with the DMC jesus christ. Give us a western PC multiplayer release of Monster Hunter for the love of god.
