• Slight Stuttering in games after upgrading RAM.

So I bought 2 sticks of RAM to upgrade my 2 GB DDR2 to a 4GB DDR3 (my motherboard supports both) but for some reason after the upgrade I get a slight stutter issue, most noticeably in Far Cry 3, the game stutters for about half a second and sometimes the sound stutters but not the game, anyone know what's causing this?
Try removing all your RAM except the new ones, and run a Memtest.
Are you using both memory formats at the same time? Are you running 64bit?
4 sticks often need manual tweaks to the timings to not induce the stutter you are experiencing, especially if they aren't all identical I've dealt with 4 sticks (1 corsair pair, 1 ocz pair), took absolutely ages of trial and error with timings and other bios settings to get things smooth again
You should check the timings and clockspeed of all sticks, and then manually set these timings and clockspeed in the BIOS according to the slowest module(s).
