So i was logging into Facepunch when I saw that it was checking my browser. What is this? Do people really hate FP that much?
(If this is the wrong thread, move it please)
Evidently that Seth cunt and his followers got mad because someone leaked his shitty hacks source code or something like that. I'm not sure if that's actually the reason though, just what I heard.
Take questions like this into the "Ask us about the forums thread"
Sethhack's group DDOS's facepunch every now and again when we piss them off. (Banning a bunch of hackers, or leaking their source code or something)

Nope, Garry made a decent anti-Sethhack that permabans the hackers from all servers using cheaters.cfg (which is pretty much every server).

The extra security is there to check whether you are using an actual browser or sending a thousand packets(DDoS'ing)
The extra security is welcomed as it is better to have Facepunch running (it actually runs better than before) than having it down.

Do note that you can disable cheaters.cfg

Not really a reason to do so though.
Source code for Seth's hack which effectively ruined many GMod communities and servers got leaked. That's the good news...(since Garry can now work on a fix to block it)
The bad news was that Seth was angry and decided to launch a DDoS on Facepunch using some amplification techniques (since he has a relatively small community) which proved rather effective. Fortunately CloudFlare is protecting us until Seth gets bored

This is all speculation, though, but it seems likely
...Heh.
Got curious, checked out what the hell this SethHack thing even was.

I wish there weren't these anti-raid rules in times like these.

DDoSing them would be stupid, pointless and illegal. At most it inconveniences someone somewhere temporarily until Facepunch gets bored
There is good reason behind that rule

Part of the reason they are there is because sometimes we can't really confirm if Seth is really the one at fault here.
It may be some angry deviantArt person who is upset with the dA appreciation station for all we know because we don't like their art.
WHO THE HECK IS SETHHACK?
EDIT: NVM

They already said it wasn't them.
