I've been looking up ways to not get as burnt out to badly on ecstasy, and how to keep feeling fresh after (Mainly due to other shit cut into it) I take around one pill once twice a month and that's been my main routine. I've heard of L-Tyrosine and 5-HTP. Anyone have any info on that or know any threads on this matter? I wish search was enabled . . .
Weed.
Weed.
Weed. (baaa baaa)
How burnt out do you get on one pill every now and again?
Generally, you tend to be fine after you have a decent sleep. So if you roll on a Saturday night, you won't sleep properly until about mid-Sunday. So once you're done rolling, smoke a bowl or 2 and just chill listening to music in a dark room in bed until about 8am Sunday, then get up, have some breakfast, have a drink of water and just watch some TV until you feel tired, then have a proper sleep.
Chewing gum is also good, not to much though D:
You can try preloading, and then postloading. Basically you take 5-HTP supplements the day before and the day after rolling. 5-HTP pills encourage your brain to generate more serotonin (the chemical that is released into synapses as you roll), this will leave you will more after you come down, so you won't feel so shitty the next day. It also has the benefit of giving the MDMA more serotonin to play with.

I have heard of amphetamines (Adderall) helping for the next day. I know it is a stimulant and has similar side effects (teeth grinding) but from what I heard it helps to kind of taper off the high. Be careful with 5-HTP and seratonin syndrome if you're planning on taking 5-HTP before and after.
Serotonin syndrome is incredibly rare and you'd have to take a fuckload of 5-HTP to cause it.
Going to hijack this topic as I have a similar question: After very strong hallucinogenic trips I feel completely drained of emotion, like an empty shell. I'm guessing it's because my serotonin got depleted during the trip. Would 5-HTP help restore the levels to normal, to make you "feel emotion" and feel better again? This whole emptiness kinda takes away the magic of the trip, as after you've had the awesome revelations you'll want to think about it and reflect on it, but you won't have any motivation to do it when you're drained like that.

It forces you to take a day of rest afterwards, which allows you to reflect on your experience and helps prevent that want to just use and abuse the drug.
