Note: I do not wish to be banned for mentioning warez, because it may or may not be related to my problem.
Few months back, I downloaded Fallout 3 (I download all PC games I'm interested in, to see if they run nice on my system and if I like them) and encountered some freezes and crashes. I was thinking 'eh, maybe it's because of the pirated copy' and proceeded to buy the full game, only to face first of all the ungodly piece of shit that is GFWL, but also bluescreens every 5 minutes once outside the vault. I thank christ the store allowed me to trade the game in for gift vouchers! Now, Fallout 3 seems a bad example to most because it's stuck up its ass about what hardware it will and won't like, so I tried another one.
About a week or two ago, I downloaded B:AA and ran into a bluescreen at exactly the same time all the time.
However, I don't think this is because it's a pirate copy, because Resident Evil 5 and Red Faction: Guerrilla (also downloaded) run without freezes or crashes whatsoever.
Now, I've taken this issue to another forum, and like somebody mentioned earlier on here, people are sort of blaming my video card, an 8800GT. The rest of my computer seems fine:
Q6600
4 gigs of ram, can't quite find out at what speed it runs.
8800GT
XP SP3
Also, I'm pretty sure this isn't related to my temps issue, seeing as some games work and some games don't.
Anybody got any help on this? Anything else you think may be relevant can be given.

My 8800GT has given me nothing but issues as well. I ditched it and bought a 9800GTX+ that was superbly better (and more stable.)

Ya know, I don't have that much money, and if you don't mind, I kind of want to avoid buying a game that turns out either shite or not being able to run it, especially during these dark times.
You didn't have to tell us you pirated the game.
