So, my old 7300 died unexpectedly on me. Knowing what the problem was, I ordered a new 9600 ASAP. Today, I installed my new GC and turned on my PC. Everything as fine until the windows user selection, where my screen went apeshit. So, I ask you dwar techies, how the hell am I supposed to u install th old drivers?
Safe mode

u install? i assume you mean Un install? Well, start in safemode, then do it the normal way.
Tried safe mode. I get a bunch of jargon about drivers.
it tells you it's loading drivers, that's fine, jsut let it load into safe mode, should look black, old windows 98 theme and say SAFE MODE in each corner of the screen, then do IpHa's method of uninstalling the drivers Also, try Safe mode with Command Prompt to make things simpler.
I let it sit on the driver jargon and it tried booting in safe, however my screen is still fucked. [editline]01:02PM[/editline] I think it might be the monitor's refresh rate. [editline]01:08PM[/editline] The "safe mode" boot still comes up as the XP welcome screen as far as I can tell. The plot thickens!
What do you mean by fucked? Can you screenshot it or take a pic?
It was the monitor. Trying to get the drivers dumped. [editline]03:01PM[/editline] Got it. Thanks guys! Have a happy New Year's!
