:siren: I'm pretty sure this is legal, because you cannot download the songs, only listen to them. :siren:

Nifty little site I stumbled across, it does exactly what you think it does. You can listen to tons of songs on a flash-based website for free.
It also has some small useful features, like being able to make and save custom playlists and playing whole albums in order instead of single songs.
Pretty cool, But people could still rip songs from it.
Holy shit!
It's actually REALLY good, it has loads of songs I never would have thought it had.

Are you sure? because it's all a flv file.
You can go to playlist.com too and try out their beta song search, that's really awesome and almost every song I have ever wanted is on there (there was only one I couldn't find)

The reason these sites are free is because they scour the net looking for audio files. All the songs are hosted on other people's FTPs, this just collates them in one large database that allows you to create playlists.
The only problem is, sites like these use lots of bandwidth as they download the song again each time.

Audacity using Stereo Mix to record it.
Grooveshark found a few songs I normally can't find on Project Playlist. Nice find.
Wow this is awesome!
Actually if you have an account you can download the songs.

But you have to pay I think.
Well, you could record the sound directly from your speakers, that'd be one way
I use a site called Dizzler
It has my playlist and stuff but it mixes up the songs... so I have to wait 3 minutes in order to listen to each song, then it starts to skip
Other than that, this is a better site and it doesn't suck as bad as the one I go to, so Thanks
I use Slacker, which is great.
Just thought I'd pitch that in.
Easy to rip.
DownloadHelper anyone?
Yeah, there are ways to rip the songs. But that doesn't make the website illegal.
You can rip songs from youtube, and nobody says anything.

:v: And the quality would be great!
Easy to rip.

It doesn't help, As the whole site is a .flv file DownloadHelper will only show that file.
I can't sign up, I don't know what's wrong. I enter my info and press Sign Up and nothing happens.

I just use youtube for music nowadays :\
try to use Opera
Did you try clearing your cache/cookies?
This is a pretty good resource for music. I also use Pandora, which is another great music resource site.
This is awesome, much better than Pandora.
And as an added bonus, it doesn't tell you to fuck off if you live in Canada like Pandora does :D
Wow! It has MANY titles!
Edit:
Jesus Christ! It finds FULL ALBUMS!
I'm sure this is not legal somehow, As the sources come from peoples FTP servers and random sources.
Oh dear, if people want to rip songs, just get yourself a program which is able to record the "wave" input/output of your system.

I just plug my speaker jack into my microphone jack. Ghetto. :v:
Wrong. Get a packet sniffer and take the files directly.
