So how does Quake fit into all this? Huh? There's got to be a way to tie at least Quake 2/3 into it, although Quake 1 might be a harder fit.

Where's the Commander Keen reboot that makes him look more in-line with the artistic style of BJ and DG
Isnt it possible to find Commander Keen dead in classic Doom? Or was that duke nukem 3d?
In the second secret Wolfenstein level of Doom 2, you had to kill four hanging Keens to beat the level
I checked on this and found that not only this is true, but you can find a dead Doom marine in Duke 3D
Hahahaha, holy fuck, I'm kind of tired over here and I misread the title as "its biggest games’ heroes are all retarded" and I was so, so confused. On topic though, I already knew BJ & Keen were related, that's been lore for about as long as I remember. Keen being Doomguys dad is news tho. Pretty cool.

With Keen being born ~1982 (he's 8 in 1990's "Invasion of the Vorticons") that makes Doom a lot less further in the future than I'd've imagined.

i thought it was known for decades that bj is keen's grandaddy
How does this work with the new Doom lore where Doom guy is actually the Doom Slayer, a mythical badass that has been supposedly roaming around hell murdering demons for ages? Is it actually the original Doom guy that has just been hanging around hell until many many years later when the new Doom happens?

Well I mean uh, to be fair. 1 in 50 French citizens are probably descendants of Karl the Fat, El Conquistador of Saxony - Statistically speaking.
This news is about as old as Marphy Black
