Recently after upgrading the firmware on my router I began experiencing problems connecting to xbox live. When I turn my xbox on it tells me that after signing in, I can't connect to the internet. I then proceed to test my connection and everything turns up fine. It works, but I have to do that every single time I turn my xbox on and off. The xbox is connected with some kind of wireless logitech adapter[one box plugs into the xbox and the other plugs into the router]. I have my xbox set with a static IP and placed in the DMZ. The router is a linksys Linksys WRT54G2 running DD-WRT (build 13064). Any suggestions to remedy my problem?
Don't use a static IP, try using a dynamic one.
Can't set my xbox in the DMZ with dynamic.
I've never encountered/used a DMZ router, so other than that I could say traditional methods, but none would work. Sorry.
Turn off DMZ on it?
Putting my xbox in the DMZ gives me better performance in games, so thats a no go. I don't think I would be having this problem if it wasn't.
