why is bbc covering this?
It's BBC Technology "blog". They cover things like this
The good guys always win at the end. That is the formula. The rest of the story is filler that nobody really cares about. The games are all multiplayer focused now anyway.

Except for Black Ops 2 where other things can happen and without looking it up, the good guys will not win.
Kind of like reading only certain chapters of the book.. but I get it, most people buy COD for the Multi-player experience, opening certain chapters may be a good idea...
The probability of someone getting the good ending in blops 2 without guides is really low. You have to really think about some choices and the game hints at it sometimes.
Seeing as cod is more of a movie goer experience than a single player "high score" or bragging rights experience, i'm okay with this.
Doesn't it have co op with splitscreen? That's probably why I imagine, for if you play through some missions splitscreen on your friend's game and then want to continue on your own.
IIRC it even has splitscreen on PC and if you have two monitors you can use a full monitor for each player

I always liked the stories, they actually got pretty good with the Black Ops games. They're just like fun action movies.

Honestly, I felt super smart when, at that point where they [sp]have two guys bring out another one with a black bag over his face and tell you to shoot him[/sp], I went "this is shady as fuck" and didn't shoot his ass in the face, which led to him living on.

How to tell if someone hasn't actually played through them.
