I originally wanted to get them playing Hawken, planning to record on Wednesday for the open beta release, but it didn't get released that day. So I had them play HL2. My dad's starting to get worried that he might get in trouble for these videos being public at his work. Opinions on this?
Your parents are pretty funny, and your videos are well-edited. Keep it up!
I forgot about ravenholm, that is definitely the best place to start them off :D
did you make them play hotline miami yet
How can we make it so these videos get hundreds of thousands of views? These are the types of videos that should get hundreds of thousands of views
"Nice pinata."
Metro 2033? It's free until the 16th if you don't have it already.
It would be an interesting twist to have them play something co-op like L4D together but not possible without two computers, two copies etc
In my personal opinion, I don't see how he could get in trouble for it. I mean, he is just playing some video games in his spare time, what could happen?
Maybe it's his way of easily breaking it to his son that he doesn't really want to do this any more?
My dad's starting to get worried that he might get in trouble for these videos being public at his work. Opinions on this?
Just tell him this is a great opportunity and that a few more videos he could be famous!
In my personal opinion, I don't see how he could get in trouble for it. I mean, he is just playing some video games in his spare time, what could happen?
Depends on his job and his bosses. If the people he works for have logs jammed up their ass then they would see it as "a poor representation of our company" in terms of, say, postal 2. Most bosses will not care. These sorts of videos are only a problem if there are other, larger, issues in the workplace.
How can we make these videos more popular?

He said no, and he shows them to neighbors, friends etc. I think he likes doing them. Both my parents have a good laugh after watching the finished product.
"She's a sissy." :v:
I feel for your mom though... for some reason Ravenholm creeps me out big time, but Dead Space didn't as much.
How can we make it so these videos get hundreds of thousands of views? Mostly in the gaming section or something else with a huge userbase. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
"She's a sissy." :v:
I loved the part where he asks his dad if he would play it again and his dad says "Ya, I mean if you guys were playing it. It actually looks like you and your brother are in it."
"Can I be done?" "No." I don't know why laughed so hard at that.
Hook your parents up with Terraria, or maybe message some indie devs show them your videos thus far and try to convince them to give you a free copy for advertising ;]
Awesome as usual. You're dad is surprisingly good at the game too!
I like how your dad went all "HUAAAAAH" on the zombies.
Your parents rock! I wish my mom played stuff like this so I could get a reaction, but she's way too anti-video game (as in herself) to play games. Either way, really enjoying the videos!
Don't worry, I think I can loan you an account with L4D.
You should get 2 Computers and do a 1 vs 1 Counter Strike deathmatch.
I think your mom would prefer a lower mouse sensitivity.
Also, I love how you can see how Valve's tutorials working, zombie comes out when he picks up the blade and he realizes he can shoot it at him.
what your dad wears looks exactly like the pyjamas I wear
'Parents play Happy Wheels/Amnesia/Minecraft'
Jesus man! This poor woman has enough trouble with the mildly creepy stuff, and you think she ought to play AMNESIA?? Look, I like playing FPS games with creepy elements, but Amnesia is an entirely different beast. It's the one and only game that I PUT DOWN because it was getting to be too much for me. His poor mother will become a gibbering pile of frayed nerves in moments, and I'd actually be surprised if even awesome-dad maintained his stoicism if he understands anything about how the game world works in Amnesia. I mean holy shit, have a heart!
Your dad really got a hang of it quickly :v: How about something like Portal? That's a pretty challenging game despite being non-violent.
Let them play Sven COOP.
Your dad really got a hang of it quickly :v: How about something like Portal? That's a pretty challenging game despite being non-violent.
they already did that
