Seriously. For some reason I have a deep interest in most things related to science / technology / creativity. For example, I find programming pretty interesting, as well as building computers. But, I also find directing short films and editing videos extremely interesting and exciting as well. Another thing I like is creating music, soundtracks. I also like messing around with a lot of circuitry / electronic stuff. Another thing I've done for many years is map on the source engine. Also, I find modelling interesting and I've begun to learn that. I'm also pretty interested in drawing, although I'm not like some of the amazing artists I have a pretty good skill in it. A last thing I like to do is design webpages. Theres quite a few other things but I don't feel like rambling on. A lot of the time I will see something and look up how it's made or done; simply because I have the strong urge to do so. For example, one of the stupidest things that are taken for granted, a refrigerator. For some reason I had the urge to look up and understand fully how it was made. Not sure if anyone else is like this, but I feel like I'm screwed once I get to college. I really like doing all of this, and want to do all of this, but I have to pick one thing.. Computer: Drawing / painting ( I know, I'm not really super great, but I love doing it ): ((Top half is painting, lower half is a photograph)) Screenies of Maps: Screencaps of video effects: Started learning modelling, simple red blood cell ( I know it's easy, don't laugh ):
You have interests. It's normal.
You have interests. It's normal.
Yeah but I feel like I have to do all of them, otherwise I won't be fully happy. That's the problem once I get to college.
I have a problem too: I have a really huge dick
I have this habit also. I think about all the time, how things work, sometimes gets me confused :v:
You don't have to stop every thing op. Choose your strongest subject and go to college with that, expand on your smaller skills in your free time.
I'm a bit like you in that I don't know exactly what I want to do. What I recommend is going to a community college for general eds before university. edit: And don't listen to anyone who tells you community college is for idiots. same level of education for the general stuff, but a LOT cheaper. I am only paying $1000 per semester for 12 credit hours.
I'm the same more or less. I gravitated towards physics probably because I always want to know exactly how things work right down to the most basic level. If I ask how something works (which I always do) it always leads to one of two other basic questions: how, or why? And those two questions often lead to others... Physics explains the entire damn universe, so it made sense for me to do it, and for me to enjoy it.
Damn man I just have to find which one you like the most My biggest interest is psychology. Yours may be computers, that guy over there likes killing prostitutes. Find your thing.
Think of job applications that require a wide range of knowledge. This can be like management, where a knowledge of your employee's careers is strongly recommended.
Do what I did: Drop out of college and into a successful career. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] in gay porn.
How is this a problem?
My vagina smells, and no matter how much I douche it, it still smells but I still douche it anyways because if I don't, I won't be fully happy. OP. You're fine.
Just pick the one that will make you the most money and do the others in your spare time. Problem solved.
Yeah but I feel like I have to do all of them, otherwise I won't be fully happy. That's the problem once I get to college.
Don't worry about that. When you go on a college visit, just ask about their major in the Universe. Every college offers one, they just don't publicly acknowledge it because it's a special offer for special people like you.
You almost sound like my friend who wants to start mapping, programming, building computers, making music, and modeling all in the same year. But, he quit all of those things and stuck with playing football. He's a fool.
OP, it sounds to me like you have the opposite of what many people would consider a problem. Perhaps this "anti-problem", if you will, is actually a good thing?
I wouldn't see it as a problem, you just have an open mind about these things
I have the exact opposite problem. Everything is interesting, but I don't have the drive to do any of them. Oh well I suppose the cliche phrase, jack of all trades master of none comes into play. Unless of course, you are absolutely brilliant at everything. I'm annoyed by the fact that I don't have more drive to do things, but at the same time I'm glad at the skills I have and my mastery of them. He was interested in doing stuff, but found them too difficult and time consuming and decided to do something he's actually interested in. Maybe he quit those other things because they aren't as fun as he actually thought they were.

Remember the 3 B's and you'll do just fine.
It's just something you'll have to deal with for the rest of your life
I really like doing all of this, and want to do all of this, but I have to pick one thing..
This is a common misconception. You don't have to only do one thing. No matter what people might tell you, the goal of life is not to get a single career and stick with it for 50 years then retire as a boring old man. You can do as many different things you want in whatever order you want. You can work in one field for a decade having your other interests as hobbies, then just quit and let one of those hobbies become your career instead. You don't have to pick one thing, you just have to pick which one you want to do right now in the meantime. And if you decide you don't like it half way through, pick something else and do it instead! Besides, you're young, make lots of bad decisions and leave lots of things half-done now while it won't screw you up as much.

Sorry, You have Cancer.
do what your best at the rest can be hobbies
life's easy pick a subject learn it work it die Stop overthinking!
You should be happy, I hate how I never have enough motivation to do anything.
Sorry, You have Cancer.
I lol'd. But what? ahahaha.
Not that I want to make any mods question me for coming off as a potential dick, but, this sounds like an attention-seeking thread, and a very useless one at that. Nothing about this thread is even remotely interesting IMO. Not your painting, not your screen caps.. Not even your desktop. I am somewhat pleased that I got to start every sentence except this one with the letter N though. And like almost every other person has said clearly stated: There is nothing special about your "varied" interest in things. I think it would surprise you to know how many multi-talented people there are in this world. With, you know, things that are INTERESTING to account for.
Your problem is pretty bad, you should kill yourself before it spreads
