Well finally some ACTUAL content will be added to the game. Is the PvP even in yet, as it should've by launch?
Please be good
Here's hoping it's Lord of Destruction quality, with maybe an extra Act or two. Actually, what I wanna see is more types of Gems.

Prepare to be disappointed.
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. (are you gonna drop the bomb or not?)
bring back skulls.
yeeeaahh i have literally no hope for this. as a diehard diablo 2 and LoD fan, diablo 3 was utter shit. sure it was cool playing the next diablo game for the first act, but GOD it got boring fast, there was such an elegant simplicity to diablo 2, not that it lacked in features or complexity, but that it wasn't comprised of dumb bullshit like having all your spell power be a percentage based on your weapon's DPS. seriously what tHE FUCK is that. and the runes? wowee zowee did they dumb that down and make it linear as fuck seriously you don't really CHOOSE what skills you get to have you progress through them and while there is a somewhat interesting diversity of runes to change up your skills, the concept is lost on the fact that the enemies don't really take more than one or two different tactics to defeat anyway so it's pointless to use anything other than what works best for the situation because it will work for ALL situations
also the acts aren't nearly as interesting nor are they as long, it's hardly punishing to die (which you don't ever do much of in the first place unless you are one of 10 people who can actually bare to play through more than once)
and while i'm venting my fanboy-biased anger at this game, hooooly shit did they ruin the fucking story. diablo 2's lore had something going for it and oh BOY it's like they jammed a fist in their assholes, pulled out random segments of the story and drew them from a hat
[sp]i'm mostly referring to deckard cain just.. dying, in the first act, he was the fucking npc STAPLE of diablo and they just kill him off needlessly in the first act? wtf also leah being diablo's daughter SOMEHOW what a twist!!! and bringing back atma just to make her evil was dumb pointless shit too i'm not sure how they got away with that[/sp]
after the excitement had died down from the first act, the entire game felt like i was just trudging through to beat it just so i could get it over with, probably with some desperate hope that it would somehow redeem itself near the end. but NOOOPE the battle with Diablo was dumb as shit, azmodan took all of 10 seconds to beat because the wizard is overpowered, not to mention how it took me about 4 hours total across 3 days to beat the entire game with 2 other people. wow i should really shut up this is longer than i meant for it to be sorry this game makes my butt sore just thinking about it
Not a best place to state your opinion as everyone has it's own :v:

so rather than feeling like you're actually gaining something you'd rather have spell damage be flat and never increase?

d2 was the same though??? there was literally only ~3 viable builds for each class. it's the same in d3.

ummm???? after you pass the level ~50 mark repair is ridiculously expensive.

i agree that the story is shit but you need to calm down if you're getting this angsty over a fictitious story.

what?

diablo 2 literally took about 3 hours to finish if you had a decent group, and with a high level runner it would take even less.
Lol well I can be sure this won't sell anywhere near 10 million after that disappointment of a game.
Now with more DRM!*

The only issues I had with D3 were that the item stats and gems were pretty boring compared to D2, and the fact that there was no way to turn off the narrative at all.
I know the second bit is kinda' nitpicky, but in D2 you could just kinda' run around without all these characters talking and shit. It gets irritating when you've heard it like the thousandth time.
unless they make monk op, wont play this.
Unless this makes D3 a better game it won't be worth it.
Diablo 3 was a great game that has some bad ideas attached to it.
Not going to lie I was joking with my mates before we played through it and: [spoilers]
[sp]Began by exclaiming, "spoiler alert! Leah is diablo!" When that actually fucking happened though I was just thinking, "are you shitting me?"[/sp]
I doubt I'll purchase this. I mean I admit I got 1,000x more playtime with LOD than I did just D2 but will this expansion pack really redeem D3? Seems like a bit of a gamble.

More like it tried to succeed a great game and it missed the point by lightyears.
I liked diablo 3 when I was playing it but I've never dropped a game so quickly after I hit level 60.
Can't believe I wasted my money on Diablo 3. It was way too easy and I don't have the patience to beat it more then twice.
I thought it was pretty good but not as fun as Diablo 2 or Titan Quest in particular. I'll probably pass up the expansion. Kind of bored of the genre now.

i'm honestly people like you buy diablo and diablolikes
that's like, a fucking staple of the genre
Shack News used a picture that isn't the butcher?!

Diablo 2 was fucking hard.
if you had a hard time with diablo 2 on the first 2 difficulties i don't even know what to say to you
If you compare it to something like Torchlight , in Diablo 2 I ended up dying more and enemies tended to do a lot more damage.
Diablo 3 wan't bad, it was just disappointing. it had so much potential but it ended up as a DRM cursed money pit of random luck. I had fun for two weeks before I gave up.
not expecting much from the expansion, but I'll probably get it anyway.

First two acts are easy even if you don't make a build or grind, I can understand act 3 and 4 tho.
$$$
It's not if an expansion was going to be made, it's how quick was an expansion was gonna release.
So, wheres the PVP?!
