I think for some reason avast is making my computer fuck up and freeze for several minutes. So I went to uninstall and then reinstall it. I removed it with Add or remove programs and went to install it again. The installer did nothing the about 7 times I kept launching it. I thought this was odd and went to install something else as my AV. Everything I tried kept telling me too uninstall avast. I tried removing the folder itself in hopes that it would work. Nope it was protected or some shit. I tried using the official uninstaller, but I either needed to use it in safe mode or disable avast self protection or something like that. I can't boot into safe mode because of my screen not supporting the resolution and I can't launch avast to disable self protection.
What do?
Bump.
Safe mode.

You really don't have another screen to try it?
You can't launch Avast? What happens if you try to do so?

Nothing no error message. On startup though, it says it's missing ashbase.dll I think. Can't add it though.
Can I get some help here?
Bump.
System Restore?
I'm not sure about you specific situation, but try these two programs:
Revo Uninstaller (A better Uninstallation program)
Unlocker (Can force delete stuff that are "locked" e.g program is being used by another process etc)
Try using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Avast. It will launch the official uninstaller, but If you choose the more advanced uninstallation methods (It will ask you this) you can remove leftover files.
I usually just delete all the files for a program and then remove it from the registry. Worked every time I've tried it.
Revo Uninstaller
