Anyone have Sony MHC EC99I?

I'm thinking of picking up a shelf stereo for my TV. I don't want surround sound because of all the wires. I have had surround before, but I don't want wires running everywhere. I was wondering if anyone here on FP had this particular system, and if so is it any good for Movies/Gaming?

I have a precursor to this system the MHC GX-450.
It's works well has good sound quality and response. If that one is anything like the system I have now in terms of quality I would get it, as long as the price is good.
I got my system for a bit under $200 retail.

I would say to look up some reviews and see if any of the complaints or cons of it would go against what you would use it for.

My brother's got a much earlier version of this set, from like 5 years ago. Bass is fucking ridiculous. I think it sounds ok, not an amazing system but it is balanced in most ranges. Except when the subwoofer's on full blast. If your house/basement/room/wherever you put this thing has some semi loose screws, you'd better be wearing a helmet as sheet-rock will come raining down in a glorious shower whilst your ears being shattered from the disgusting amounts of raw low-range power.

Well I have had a few hours to play around with the system. So far, its spectacular. I use it for a small room with my HDTV. It works perfectly. Great bass. Unfortunately, the speaker wires are very short. I had to rig it up in a very clustered way. I'm hoping to buy some speaker stands soon.
