I really hate the flamethrower troopers.
Oh fuck. Memories are flooding in of playing this on Gameboy and PC when I was eight.
The only Army Men game I really played were Sarge's Heroes and Air Attack on PC. Both had amazing split-screen modes and were a lot of fun.
Where's Air Attack?
oh shit I remember my dad had the first one when I was a kid. I could never get past the first level.
I vaguely remember playing an army men esque game but I swear it was fighting monsters instead of green vs tan. I think one of the enemies was a beholder, never seen or heard of the game again, does someone know what I'm talking about?
That sounds like it could be Toys in Space, but I never played that one so I wouldn't know for sure. Man, I would say that 3DO made my favorite childhood video games. I loved the Army Men franchise and I put countless hours into Battle Tanx. If someone were to remake those for larger player counts it'd be amazing, I know Mean Greens does it to an extent but I feel its still relatively small scale.
Yeah Toys in Space had alien units. I don't remember what they all looked like though.
No RTS?
Oh man, I used to have this as a kid: I played the shit out of it. Army Men II was one of my favorites. I'm definitely getting these games again for nostalgia's sake

[editline]8th September 2016[/editline] fuck, i'd play a modern Army Men game if it were an rts
The cockroaches, the noise! ahhhh!
oh shit I remember my dad had the first one when I was a kid. I could never get past the first level.
I remember endlessly screwing around in the training mission, destroying all the vehicles and such
I had these games on Playstation, Had no idea they were on PC this is great.
Holy mother fucking shit, I've been wanting them to add these forever. I hope they add the other games like Air Tactics and the PC version of World War and hopefully better ported versions of the console versions. But I'm hearing that multiplayer doesn't work. wait, was this the same series that was responsible for the "sarge's heros" game as well? cause if so fuck yeah I'll give these a whirl.
Fuck yes, I am glad they added these. These are the best games in all of the Army Men series. Hopefully these work better on modern systems than the War Chest compilation does. Man so much nostalgia from these games
Army men World War was the best hands down for me. I loved the RTS ones. Anyone remember the graveyard level in Army men? The one with that really had desert level in the beginning. It use to creep me out how the soldiers kept coming back and killing eachother.
Army Men:War Chest is the reason I have software on my computer limiting my play time. I guess it is time to dig it out of the closet
I think I've still got the original Army Men on disk somewhere, but I might as well get them all on GoG.
I just found my Sarge's Heroes GameBoy Color cartridge earlier today, what a coincidence
I only remember playing the PS1 one, Army Men 3D? or something.
I only remember playing the PS1 one, Army Men 3D? or something.
That was a remake of the original for the PS1.
I only played Army Men RTS. I really liked it, but it was also the last RTS game I played. That was 10 years ago :(
Yes yes yes yes Yessssssss
I remember playing the original as a kid, spending like an hour on that one beach portion of a level with endless waves of Green and Tans fighting it out, just having a good ol time
Man, I spent ages messing around in the original Army Men as a kid. Pretty sure there were like skirmish maps, and commands to spawn units? I doubt I played any of the campaign, just stuffed around. Good times. [editline]9th September 2016[/editline] WAIT there was like a hidden turtle or something?? Anyone remember this?

Anyone remember this?
I remember the turtle, I forget which level it was though, but I think you could kill it. That's one thing I loved about the Army men universe, all the little hidden gems. Remember the sounds your men made when they got shot? "oh, ooo, aah, ugh, augh, ugh, uuuuugoogggh" Actually they have a pic of the turtle on the gog page for army men.
the first army man game is so good Also sort of a fan of sarge's heroes, but it hasn't aged as well
WAIT there was like a hidden turtle or something?? Anyone remember this?
yeah it's in the F6 of the bootcamp [editline]10th September 2016[/editline] also man the boxed copy i got when i was a kid came with real plastic figures, they're probably mixed in with all of my other ones in my parents storage lol only pic i could find was of II, i only had I. gonna play through 2 i need to know what happens
