That sounds pretty awesome to be honest.
Angling for a beta key, this looks fun.
damn, invite only beta along with having to pay so that you can do more then just sit with your thumb in your ass all day.
This looks really good.
I was excited, until I reached the combat section of the wiki...
How do you kill a zombie ? Techniques vary from one citizen to the next. Everyone agrees that fresh water is a great weapon for destroying them. To be effective, however, it must be used to fill plastic bags thus making Water Bombs.
As well as water pistols... it could still be good, but that's a real downer right there, was hoping to be scavenging for weapons and ammo, swapping among survivors, not filling water balloons. Where does one aquire a beta key for this? [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] If anyone on FP manages to get in, could I pretty please be the recipient of one of your three invite codes?
Is no one else interested in this? It'd be cool if someone's gotten into the beta and can share some experiences.
Is no one else interested in this? Let's hope some medication shows up before I become a lumbering infested corpse.
You get any invite keys? Plus, what happens when you become a corpse, game over, or do you fight for the zombies?
I got in. It's really fun. I love how there's 40 of you (less because people will stop playing) and you got to work together using the town-specific forums. It's great.
So did either one of you guys get the 3 invite keys? We could do what someone had going in an MMO's thread: invite 1 person, and have them give you their keys so you can spread them out to whoever you think is deserving. Or did you guys not get keys, and did I just completely misread the website.
I have 3 keys to give out to people who are going to keep playing. PM me if you're interested.
This looks very, very promising. Guess I'll wait until it's out of beta, since the chance of me getting an invitation key is low.
PieClock could give you one, if you'll keep playing, or if he gives me one I could give you one of the 3 I get.
I'm out of keys. No more PM's please.
EDIT: Key was given out.
Sorry guys, I was thinking that EVERYONE got 3 keys, but when Pie invited me I didn't get any. I was gonna give them out here if I did get any.
Sorry guys, I was thinking that EVERYONE got 3 keys, but when Pie invited me I didn't get any. I was gonna give them out here if I did get any.
I only registered yesterday so there's probably a decent chance you'll get some tomorrow.
Did you register from an invite from a player?
I have a single key to hand out. Will hand it out based on your ban history and the length of time you've been an FP member.
If this game only requires 15-30 minutes to log in each day to do enough actions I would like to apply for your key, I do not have much time to play due to work but this game might fit me well.
Two more keys to hand out. Stick to PM's.
This game rocks your socks off. Never thought a browser and mainly text-based game could be so fun. (And immersive.)
Anyone has a a spare key?, i really want one.
killer, I've got a key, but I'm going with PieClock's rules: you'll only get it if you think you'll stick with it, and not be that one douche that starts and never plays again. That really screws towns over sometimes.
I've got two keys for people that want em and think that they'll stick with it.
I have 3 keys for people who promise to obey this:
There are 3 main ends to focus our efforts towards. Gathering, Construction, and Miscellaneous. I would advise people to use their first 6 AP to first build their tent, then go outside and auto search the surrounding areas with an [g]empty inventory[/g]. After you drink your water ration, rescue people if we can, but then focus on construction. It's not a bad idea to wait until the later parts of the day, so you have AP to spare if something develops. Things I would recommend against doing:- *Going for the excavations for exotic loot. - This will be a good idea later, organising parties to go looting, but right now we just need the basic resources and constructing the basic necessities. *Keeping things in your house. - Almost every item has better net benefits in the bank than it does in a home. Put things in the bank. If you want things for your home, discuss it in the relevant sticky. *Building more than a tent. - It uses planks, particularly valuable this early on, and the defence bonus is just not needed yet, and even then we are better off spending the planks on the first defence projects. Putting AP into anything with a build button. - Please don't do this. It may be new an exciting and you have spare AP and feel that it can't be that bad, making a structure for the town, but [g]please don't[/g]. it uses resources and AP that we cannot spare. Please read threads and focus your efforts on what we as a community need. Thankyou.
Why is no one interested in this? This is truly a gem of a browser game (more of a social experiment really). It's got zombies, it's well made, and well damn it, it's fucking awesome.
