This is just crap that I took in my backyard and at school last week. Tell me what you think. Looks good, nice edits with the colors.

I like those surreal photos. Good job. The one with the tree is good, too. In my opinion, the photo of the blue table is suffering from a bad composition. If you have the chance you could try to take a bird's eye view photo of the table.
Please tell me why you think we'd want to see 'Random' and 'crap' work? Take some pride in your pieces or don't post. Anyway, nothing startling - it's just the usual, subject of picture within lots of mostly bland space (is this supposed to be ominous / deep or something?), "oh a mirror reflection!", amusing shadows etc. Personally, I don't dig this kind of photography, I think it's pretentious, boring, flat and empty. Try something that ENGAGES the viewer, draw their eye in a prominent direction, but leave much to be explored - GUIDE them through the piece. Shadows could be far more fun to - tell a story with them! Intrigue the viewer, make them ask questions. Ultimately, if you wouldn't buy any of these pieces, most people won't want to either. The most I can draw from these photos are the nice textures you've picked up, like the brick, straw and tabletop :)

I'm not intending to sell these. But thank you for the comments, I'd like to improve my photography. Most of them were for assignments in my Photography I class, i.e. the table, the reflection and the staircase.

If it's the former, then maybe putting a twist or an interesting thought on the subject, rather than the literal, blatent subject itself would make your pictures more surprising and interesting. Thinking outside the box ;) I'm just trying to help, not crush your work or your talents into the ground!
I'm in a straight up photography class, yet it's the 1st course, and we're limited to what we turn in. It's not like freelance per say, it's limited to a topic.

No doubt your interests extend outwith the course and you photograph in your own time - plenty of time to be creative with no boundaries or guidelines to adhere to :D When you have the time, do post some of your personal work!

He has a Nikon D-100 he lets me use and a Fuji Coolpix he lets me use. I'll work on finding a better subject and doing some more creative stuff over the summer when I have some free time. As far as posting pics, will do.
