Isn't it record labels' fault for allowing people to copy music?

The RIAA and alike are suing people for sharing music, but isn't it really the record labels' fault for writing their music to an easily copied format such as an .mp3? I don't see how juries can find people guilty of file sharing when:
A. Without knowledge of it being illegal, file-sharing doesn't seem wrong in any way, shape, or form and,
B. It is so easy to copy and share the files they have the music written to.
It really pisses me off that they (music companies) get away with the shit that they do.
A. I think this is just common-sense... You buy something, then copy it and give it to other people for free, for reelz.
B. Your point?
Music Companies are evil, but not in that way.
I hate CD's and Games when you don't pirate them. You bought it, therefor you own it. BUT NOOOO. People will tell you what you can and can't do with it. Fucking bullshit.

Oh C'mon, if that were the case, profits from music companies would plummet, hard. You don't own the rights to the music, you own the CD, but on the condition you don't distribute the contents of the CD.

If you think about it, if you lend somebody a cd and they rip it to their iTunes, which it prompts you to do, then by the rules that are set up, you're distributing it.
Hell, if you rip it to yours and lend it to them, and they don't rip it, it can still be considered that because two people have the material from the one cd at once.

Hell, they own the music, they can do whatever the Hell they want with it.

Don't pirate, it's bad
etc
So, how exactly would you stop them?

well, first off, THE CDS DO NOT CONTAIN MP3 FILES, MP3 IS JUST ONE OF A WIDE VARIETY OF AUDIO FILES THAT YOUR CD RIPPER CAN CONVERT OFF OF A CD. MP3 IS NOT LOSSLESS, AND HAS AUDIO QUALITY WHICH IS WORSE THAN THE ACTUAL CD.

It's easy to steal stuff from stores, but that doesn't make it right

This is because you pirate music. You sound like a pot smoker pretending like smoking weed is good for your lungs.

It isn't?

I really don't want to turn this into a thread about drugs, but I'll just say it's not really good for your lungs, it can cause breathing problems.

That's why I don't buy music digitally.

Not because it's weed. Because it's smoke regardless.
I don't really think it's the record labels fault that most people are greedy and can't spare a couple of bucks on a CD. When you make music for a living, you don't really have time for a job on the side so obviously you'll need pay. I don't understand how people can go about not giving a shit about giving the artists credit. I'd feel guilty as shit, and if the music aren't worth paying for, why would you even listen to it then?
It's fine if you download something, try it out/listen to it, and decide it's not something you like, but if it's something you enjoy, I can't see the problem of paying up. If you have a pc and a network connection so you're able to download, you should be able to scrape some cash together, so the "I don't have money" excuse isn't really working either.
I was taking the piss, actually
Rule of thumb, only ARGHH! shit you can't find, anywhere.
