What's a good, all-around video editing program that's pretty easy to use/learn? Preferably freeware.
Windows movie maker
Pretty much every good video editing program takes a while to learn and costs alot of money. It depends on what kind of video you're making though, personally I recommend Sony Vegas 9.
Sony Vegas 9 and Adobe After Effects are both great. They both have a 30 day trial or something. Try them out and see how you like them. If they are good consider buying Sony Vegas (unless you have the money for After Effects). If you don't want to do that, you can just reinstall your OS every 30 days and reinstall the trial.
