hopefully they wont botch it like they did episode 5.
yay!
The question is, will it continue where the original left off? Or start a whole new story?
I hope it's a new story, personally.
Also I thought Dontnod was in some serious financial slumps, didn't expect to see this headline, but in glad to hear it. Hope they can stick with it. For its flaws, LiS was a really interesting game.
I thought it didn't sell well, so they had to rush Episode 5?

They said it will most likely be a new cast.
I'm not entirely sure if I'd call it 100% confirmed based on that article but still, awesome!! I really hope to see more of this series and I hope the lip sync gets improved :v:

I like how they had the opposite problem of Bethesda. Good lip sync, bad facial animations.

But LiS had really bad lipsync. To a point where I wouldn't even call it lip "sync".

Life is Strange had pretty abysmal lipsync. The facial animation wasn't too horrible otherwise, but body animation is where it shined. Definitely put Telltale to shame there.

its more like lip-out-of-sync :freakout:

eeh, in LiS it was 100% mocap, but not very well cleaned mocap. Telltale games keep switching between awful keyed animation and mocap which is very jarring when it does transition.
I think it'll be a new story with new characters, but probably a few references to the first season.
I mean, it's not going to start with Chloe discovering she has supernatural powers on her and Max's wedding day. Shit ain't canon, people.

The patch that came out just before episode 5 improved it significantly.

I played all and I can't figure out whats wrong with Episode 5. I thought it was the best one.

The endings feel really off. you run through time in all 5 episodes to save Chloe repeatedly [sp]and then you are left with the decision in the end and the one where you actually save her is like 30 seconds long and you drive in to the sunset together and it's such a cliche ending, or you can go the "true ending" with a like 5 minute cinematic, but it still feels rushed.[/sp]
The last episode really left me hanging with a sour taste in my mouth.

People say it was rushed, really.
Also, [sp]wouldn't it be cool as fuck if the next season took place in Rachel Amber's perspective?[/sp]

Ehh, I never really felt there was too much of a problem with the mocap cleanup, but it sometimes seemed like characters were mocapped in separate sessions, giving them a bit of disconnect.

Oh, so it's not just me then. Glad I wasn't going insane, some of the character animations in Tales of the Borderlands are just
why
I hope the lip sync and the 'teenage dialogue' are improved. Over than that, they've gotta make a whole new story, I trust them LiS was surprisingly great. Finally someone who wasn't Telltale did Telltale right.

Mistranslation. No confirmation for such a thing.

Well, that's part of what I mean. But there's also noticeable jitter from time to time. It's probably just occupational habit, I just see these things. :v:

It boggles my mind that Telltale, which is hardly an indie company anymore, doesn't have better animations. I've heard people use the "it's an artstyle!" excuse but bad animations should never be excused as an artstyle.
