Hi,
This is Robert Kirkman from Skybound and I am the creator of The Walking Dead.
I’m a huge fan of what OVERKILL and Starbreeze have been able to do with PAYDAY 2. It’s just an amazing co-operative game and I’m excited to be able to announce that Skybound is partnering with OVERKILL to make a Walking Dead game. I’m happy to say that it’s the co-op game that all of the Walking Dead fans have been waiting for.
And for all the PAYDAY 2 fans out there, this is for you.
Robert

Can't say I'm opposed to this idea.
My mate is going to eat his fucking shoes when I tell him, I am liking where this is going to probably be going.
A month's countdown for this.
It seems interesting but Jesus what a way to get people hyped up over nothing.
You can see the trailer type thing here

They had a 35 day countdown that they announced through the official Payday Steam group.
I don't even watch/read/play TWD so that makes it so much more disappointing.
Ugh you know the least they could have done was not use the Payday community to hype up something totally not payday related.
Hopefully OVERKILL won't pass their bad decisionmaking from PAYDAY2 to this game. I do hope for a good COOP game set in walking dead thingy. It could be good or bad though.
Thank god. I hated the story teller point-and-click bullshit.
Looking forward to this.
They shouldn't have to announce it through the Payday community group though.

You what mate.
I'm hoping it's like the first two seasons on TWD, where the walkers were a genuine threat. I know the characters became more experienced throughout the series, but later on it felt like they could take them on no problem. Hell, in the first series the walkers could run and jump. They seemed to become fodder later on.

Where else would they have annouced it? It's currently Overkills only games out right now
I'm not a fan of the Walking Dead, but I would play an Overkill zombie game, so I'm happy.
So Payday was Left 4 Dead with bank robbing
this is.....

Its probably going to be closer to comics or something.

They already have passed their bad decision making over. They had a 35 day countdown announced through the Payday 2 Steam group for something that had nothing to do with Payday 2 and was announced today, which is the first anniversary of Payday 2's released.
It was like a changing of the guard for shitty decision making.
"PAYDAY 2 and OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead are two separate games - but, in true OVERKILL spirit, we’ll make some unprecedented crossovers. When Washington falls, what will Dallas do? If you own PAYDAY 2, you can answer this question in OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead."
Hmph.
So Payday was Left 4 Dead with bank robbing
this is.....
payday with... zombies?

Did you even play Teltales TWD?
payday with... zombies?

So it's Left 4 Dead with banks robbing without bank robbing
Its like Skyrim being Fallout, a.k.a Oblivion with Guns without guns
Can't wait for Valve to announce L4D3 and for this to be completely forgotten.
Way to give the middle finger to the PayDay community. Jesus christ, we have enough Zombie bullshit already.
Why did they use Payday 2 to advertise this. Holy shit they're not very good at PR. Or hyping.

Wait, so overkill making another title = Middle finger to Payday community? What?
Month long tease for Payday fans that's an announcement that isn't even related.
We basically waited a month to get a free bat.

Okay. So the countdown for this was announced through the Payday 2 Steam group, on a countdown that ended on the first anniversary of Payday 2's release, and was set in DC and the radio countdown campaign thing used references to characters from Payday 2.
I wanted to say Heists but I remembered this isn't GTA V
No Overkill, this is not how you announce games.
Why did they use Payday 2 to advertise this. Holy shit they're not very good at PR. Or hyping.
or at creating ARGs
It's quite ironic, everybody gets anticipated over a new Walking Dead episode (game too) but with Overkill nobody gives a shit because they know it's either going to be a duped mission or perhaps some new Gage Dubstep Gun #2 dlc you have to pay for.

The announcement was set up through the steam group and had a lot of references to Washington D.C.
