The very first sketching pad that I had was from WHSmith, and it was soo good, I fell in love with it.
Then I ran out of pages so decided to buy a new one from amazon.
Got one from a company called the-pink-pig.
Awful paper, if you accidentally slide your hand on top of your drawing, it will smudge the whole paper. If you continuously draw in one spot, just draw lines, it will start slowly destroying the paper, especially if you rub it off with an eraser, which is really annoying.
I need like a professional sketching pad, I know we have pretty good talented artists in this forum so I thought asking for recommendations.
Preferably from amazon. There are no Whsmith around where I live now
What size, color paper, quality paper, type, etc? Are you just doing pencil sketches or using watercolor or ink? Do you want to carry it around with you to sketch on the go, or do you want it to be bigger for serious studies?
Just buy the one you had originally again? I've never had any problems with generic Strathmore or Canson sketchbooks.

pencil sketches, for uni work, I'm doing 3d animation so i need to come up with new ideas every so often, A4 size
(white, quality paper)
I use this and i really like it. It's got a slight cream color and it's great for ink/ watercolor as well http://www.cansonstudio.com/en/canson-artist-series-1557-classic-cream-drawing-90lb-147gsm-pad.html
If you need a smaller one I would get a moleskin.

Why are you buying on Amazon. Go in a local art shop and buy one you like... You dont get to pay shipping either that way.

I might try that, thanks, I was just thinking it might be easier for it to be delivered to my flat, cause where I live is a location isolated from shops.
go to town, you'll find one in any decently sized town.
Hi! I would like to share with everybody my personal art observations on sketching paper. If you want your sketches to last, choose acid-free sketch paper, and if you prefer thicker paper, choose a heavier weight - at least 125gsm/80lb.
I usually use 80lb Blick Drawing Pads or Canson Heavyweight Sketch.
