So, here's a summary of what happened. Two women in my town got attacked by a group of thugs, while wearing sports gear (no shorts). The local newspaper accidentally reported that the women were wearing shorts (later edited and said to be a series of misinformation between the press and the police), which sparked interest nationally and then outside of France. Despite the updated story being widespread now, plenty of articles are [I]still[/I] claiming it was because of shorts.
