I thought these guys were PC exclusive. Last I checked the PC port for this didn't hit the shelves until the 25th.
I thought these guys were PC exclusive. Last I checked the PC port for this didn't hit the shelves until the 25th.
Reviewers almost always get early copies of any game.
Rather than trying to survive the fights, I was trying to reach ‘SSS’ rank on them and that was a challenge requiring use of chains, dodges, environmental kills, friendly fire kills, parries, deflections and every weapon available.
Where's that one .gif with attaining SSS with one move when you need it.
Never mind I didn't read the full article
"the game has an infectious sense of humour" I watched it on Youtube and I have no idea what he's talking about.
I played the demo on the 360 and was fucking appalled at how awful it was. I don't know what this guy is gabbing about.
"the game has an infectious sense of humour" I watched it on Youtube and I have no idea what he's talking about.
Sessler gives it a pretty fair review saying the beginning gameplay is fun but is horrible at the end + the humor is terrible and so is the rest of the writing There's a followup video where he kind of explains why they're back to a numerical rating system (if you've seen rev3 reviews before)

I wonder why most reviewers make no mention on the ending when its [sp]Terribad[/sp]

I haven't spend much time in DmC so from my relatively neutral viewpoint it seems the DmC fans are just pissed because of what they did with Dante's character. The gameplay itselfs seems to be good, which is why it fairly high ratings from the press. The humour isn't for everyone but from what I've seen, the earlier DmCs are just as corny.
I kinda like how kanesenpai~ pretty much goes around and dumb rates anything that isn't negative about the new DMC game...

This game is unliked by DMC fans because it's pretentious, juvenile, and sloppy. The old DMC games were corny but AWARE that they were corny. They had fun with it. DmC however tries to be a serious super-artistic Tameem's original story do not steal game and fails at delivering any kind of depth or originality. Just look up the cutscenes with their lackluster voiceacting (why does Donte slur his words so much) and edgy moments that would make the most hardcore Rage Against the Machine fan cringe. Also, the combat is simple mash buttons to win hack n' slash. DMC is all about chaining up combos and being stylish while doing so, and takes practice to get good. It rewards skill. this game looks really good i dont know why some people are pissed, this coming from a huge dmc fan
Well then it's good that it isn't a sequel and Capcom obviously is making it clear that it's not supposed to be a sequel.
I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom makes this the main series from now on Capcom has done nothing but stupid shit lately
Aside from other things already mentioned, I still really don't get why Capcom would ditch their amazing MT Framework engine that not only looks really pretty and runs at smooth consistent high framerates, for Unreal Engine 3 and (at least console wise) revert to a 30fps lock rather than MT Framework's signature 60fps across all platforms.

Capcom actually offered Ninja Theory a license for MT Framework and even offered to assist them with it. But Ninja Theory being Ninja Theory, they stubbornly refused and stuck with UE3
Now I wonder why they decided to hand over the development of the game to them in the first place.
Because capcom is full of bad ideas they think are good. Like saying a game has to sell 1 million copies in Europe and 2 million in America or else it won't get a sequel.
I wonder why most reviewers make no mention on the ending when its [sp]Terribad[/sp]
#Demons.
Because capcom is full of bad ideas they think are good. Like saying a game has to sell 1 million copies in Europe and 2 million in America or else it won't get a sequel.
or that fans didn't want Mega Man Legends 3 while pushing this game
#Demons.
the twitter ending isn't even the ending ending. The real ending is: [sp]We must control the humans donte because we can save them from the demons. FUCK YOU Vorgil Ok we fight now Then Donte stabs Vorgil, kat butts in and Vorgil's like YOU AINT SEEN THE LAST OF ME[/sp] 10/10 writing.

But nope, that line come out of nowhere and force a very bad battle that tries to be like the one in dmc3
Hey, of course it ended with [sp] A fight against Vorgil[/sp] He has a bigger dick.
