A Delta Airlines plane has skidded off a snowy runway at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.
Information is not yet available as to number of passengers on the plane, or of any injuries. The New York City Fire Department tweeted that the plane is leaking fuel.
That's scary, I bet there were skidmarks on more than the runway.

It's still snowing like hell up here in the NE US, so I assume this landed right before everything got canceled at LGA.
Was the pilots name by any chance Takumi?
wow that is scary.. i just got back from that airport 1 week ago when it snowed about 6 inches of snow the night before. D:
MJ12 really doesn't want JC getting on that plane
Tower called the flight for taxiing instructions but did not receive a reply. Airport Operations told the tower that runway 13 was closed with the tower querying in disbelief, fire engines finally told tower that there had been an aircraft gone off the runway, tower then instructed the next arrival on short final to go around. Airport Operations then advised the entire Aerodrome was closed. The MD-88 was evacuated through the overwing exits with the assistence of responding emergency services and the rear exit. 24 occupants received minor injuries, 3 of them were taken to hospitals, the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
The passengers must have been scared shitless.
The ATC audio is pretty cool. They closed the airport real quick after that
Surprised the runway was still open if the conditions were that treacherous.
NFL Tight End Larry Donnell was on that plane, it scary to think our favorite players could be gone in an instant.
