Pretty fucking much, you can blame shit like the dailymail for that.
Yeah this sounds about right.
We're all sad and depressing tossers
This thread is going to be nothing but British FPers going "yup" [editline]BNP[/editline] I blame immigrant benefit cheats for my automerge failing
This is from July, and I'm mostly sure it was posted here back then
- Immigration: some 31 per cent of the population is thought to consist of recent immigrants, when the figure is actually 13 per cent. Even including illegal immigrants, the figure is only about 15 per cent. On the issue of ethnicity, black and Asian people are thought to make up 30 per cent of the population, when the figure is closer to 11 per cent.
not even the US is like that, why would UK citizens believe its 30%. :v:
This thread is going to be nothing but British FPers going "yup"
Well it's true, you have sensationalist "news" from sources like the Daily Mail that have somehow become the most read news site on the internet, constantly pushing stories about how immigration, benefits and the youth of society are out of control. If this gets reported enough it starts seeping into the public conscious and affecting how they think.
not even the US is like that, why would UK citizens believe its 30%. :v:
Because they're taking over the country and all the jobs duuh. It's practically little pakistan at this point.
yup
Because they're taking over the country and all the jobs duuh. It's practically little pakistan at this point.
+1 to this. There replacing our churches with mosques and using muslamic ray guns to enforce shiara law on us. They are probably the reason all the pubs are closing as well.
I don't know shit about anything so I'm not surprised :v:
I find it hilarious how many British people (including my family and even some of my friends) think they're not being racist or at least ill-informed, but they've just never questioned the stuff they read in the news. To a lot of Brits it seems like A: The Daily Mail is bad, thus B: No other newspaper or news source could possibly have any other source of bias. People find the Sun and stuff like that to be shallow, but actually rely on it as a genuine source of information. I've never understood how the news gets through so unregulated, sometimes they don't even apologise for blaring errors.
This is akin to if Fox News was super popular in America.
+1 to this. There replacing our churches with mosques and using muslamic ray guns to enforce shiara law on us. They are probably the reason all the pubs are closing as well.
burn the muslamic infidel
I take it every citizen is supposed to know every number related to statistics there is to know about their country and cannot make any mistakes and the government never lies or misleads people when providing such numbers?
Yes yes, but how wrong is the American public about everything? :v: since we're the "Leaders of the Free World" afterall. :v: I don't, nor have ever, lived in Britian so I honestly don't know, but I kinda figure if the Brits are that off on their statistics; How far off can the rest of the Western world be.. lol I bet we're all living lies haha [sp]This is going to be an interesting Century.[/sp]
It's all well and good saying that the public are wrong about issues in the UK as a whole, but not necessarily wrong about their city / town / county, for example according to the official crime statistics which you can check out yourself here Crime as a whole in my area has actually gone up by around 200 cases since last year so I'm not wrong when i say crime isn't falling. People are gonna voice their opinions based on where they live and what they see, they don't give a toss if crime has gone down across the UK if their area hasn't seen that change or in my case seen the exact opposite. People are still miss informed en mass thanks to the printed bog roll that is our tabloids though.
Thanks Daily Fail Edit: This is from July and I swear it has been posted in SH before!?
