Ah. Where do I begin. Well, today I woke up with a really bad fever - 38.8 degrees. I don't have to tell you that this isn't good. I called my doctor and asked her what should I do (her shift in our local medical facility starts at 1 PM). She told me to stay home for a few days and told me to buy an antibiotic. (Augmentin, if I'm not mistaken) So, I went to the pharmacy that's near my house and bought the antibiotic and some Nurofen for the fever.
Now, I work as a repairman in an electronics store and handling electronics and fragile equipment isn't easy with a fever. So, I called my boss, explained the situation and told him I won't be able to go to work for a few days. He just said: "Great, you're fired. I can't stand it when a worker of mine calls in sick. You should've come and said it in person". What. The. Fuck. He wanted me to drive 5 miles in rush hour with a fever just to tell him I'm sick? I kindly explained to him that I can't really drive with my head spinning around from the fever. He told me that I'm still fired and "I hope you start respecting my opinion". What?
What do you think, FP? Am I wrong or is he? I personally think he fired me for a bullshit reason, but I might be wrong.
